National Night out is a nationwide crime and drug prevention event
sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Besides
strengthening neighborhood spirit, this event is designed to heighten
crime and drug awareness.

The Byrnes Mill Police department will be supporting this event at the
Byrnes Mill City Park on Tuesday August 2nd from 5 PM to 9 PM. There
will be free hot dogs, BBQ, soda, water, music, toys and prizes for
the kids and free gun locks for home safety. Free Child ID kits will
be available so you can save your children’s fingerprints and photos.
These kits stay with the parents. There will be various types of
Emergency and Service Vehicles on display to view. There will even be
a Military Half-Track and a race car there.

You’ll have an opportunity to cool off a Byrnes Mill policeman in a
dunking booth, donated by Highway 30 Towing. This is a great
opportunity to get the family together and come to the Park to get a
bite to eat while meeting your neighbors, police officers, emergency
personnel and City officials.

A very big thanks to Brian at COMPANY B BAR-B-QUE for graciously
supplying the delicious BBQ.

Hope to see you there!
