{Byrnes Mill:729} Donations needed for Joplin tornado victims

The Northwest High School football coaches, players and the NHS Football Booster Club are partnering up to support those affected by the tornado that hit Joplin last month.

 

A drive to collect the items needed most by the residents of Joplin will be held Thursday, July 7 (12 to 7 p.m.) and Friday, July 8 (8 a.m. to 9 p.m.) in the Shop ‘n Save parking lot in High Ridge.  Dodge Moving and Storage (an agent of Mayflower Transit) has graciously donated a 53’ trailer for the donations as well as the tractor and driver to transport the items to Joplin.  The coaches, players and Club will deliver the donations and assist with recovery/relief efforts in Joplin on Saturday, July 9.

■Powder drink mixes for bottled water

                                                                                                                                ■Prepackaged meals

                                                                                                                                ■Rubbermaid totes with lids

                                                                                                                                ■Towels

                                                                                                                                ■Sheets

■New pillows

                                                                                                                                ■Laundry detergent

                                                                                                                                ■Cleaning supplies

■Sponges, scrub brushes, kitchen gloves

                                                                                                                                                ■Brooms, mops, cleaning buckets

                                                                                                                                                ■Dawn

                                                                                                                                                ■Lysol, Pinesol, disinfectant wipes (we cannot transport bleach, ammonia, or aerosol cans of any type)
