This looks cool.  And I'm enjoying the 'slashgeo' site too. 

BTW:  what do you know about and/or what is the status of the 'near misses' map development that bikeportland.org highlighted a while back?  Is there anything to report, or somebody I could talk to about it?  We've developed a pretty cool/lightwieght Mapserver project that allows the public input of point data to a shared database.  We were talking the other day and thought this (near misses on bikes) would be a good application to use this technology on.

What do you think?

Greg Raisman, who was mentioned in the bikeportland.org article, is the guy to talk to about this.  If you've been working on a Mapserver solution that could help with this, then it sounds like you guy should talk.  I'm cc'ing Greg on this and he can reply to you, and the list if appropriate.
