I have recently run across a book called "MacroWikiNomics" that advocates bottom up collaboration.   So has anyone got any experience setting up Wiki-type software?

I've done a couple, just setups IMHO while helpful it's not an end all be all type of scenarios.

The question is what is the appropriate tool for the job.  If we look at collaborative content generation, a Wiki based system in one of many that can be used.

It's rather easy to setup a Wiki there several options on Windows/LAMP platforms in addition to SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions.
