I found the smart tag which I missed seeing when I first pasted the
text. The popup menu that first displays doesn't look anything like
what the video shows. But if you select the "keep text only" and
click on it, the next pop menu looks exactly like what is shown in the
video.

If there a way to get rid of the intervening pop menu now that it is
set to my "default"?

Does EWv3 do it slightly differently which is why I was confused?

Thanks,
Tom Miller

In the full length version of the Urban-Houston tutorial at about 16
min. 6 seconds a feature called "Smart Tag" shows up and makes
cleaning up the cruddy html from the imported word document very
simple.

I am running EWv2. I can't find this feature. Am I missing
something? Or is this only available in EWv3?

Not sure exactly where you are in the video and it has been some time since I watched it but will hazard a guess you are right clicking and pasting text then selecting keep text only. No, as far as I know there is no way to keep one of these as a default. (If that is what you are asking)

The tutorial was made with ew 2.0 I believe and yes, EW 3 is different.

The video was done using EW 1 or 2 not 3. You can tell by the interface
color if nothing else. Which version are you using?
