I have upgraded to Win 7. For some reason Expressions can't find the
.dwt files. I was trying to create a new page from a DWT on the
server. I didn't have the problem with Vista

Microsoft Expression Version 12.0.6211.1000

I think we need more information. I've been using Win 7 for months w/o any
DWT issues in either EW 2 or 3.

It is better to use Expression Web 1, 2 or 3 instead of a point release
version when asking for help since it takes opening the program and looking
at Help > About in order to see the release versions.

Hi Cheryl
When I click on new page from DWT all it shows is the folders, not the .dwt file

No you don't. I've got v2 & v3 running side by side on Win 7. I haven't
installed EW 1 for some time but I'm pretty sure that Pat and probably Tina
both have it running on Win 7.

If you are using EW 3 you should probably get the service pack for it if you
haven't already. Only v1 & v3 have service packs. V2 did not have one.

Make sure you are opening the local website not just files. Turn off note
data Site > Site Settings use meta data by dealing the checkbox. Get and run
FPCleaner which also clears corrupt meta data information. Then re-enable
meta data and recalculate hyperlinks.

That is probably your problem then. Unless you are on a Windows 2003 or
later server updated to the latest version of the FPSE DWTs will not update
when you are working live on a server unless all the pages attached to the
DWT are open.

Working live on a server is really not a good idea because if you mess up it
is immediately available for visitors to see. It is far better to work
locally and publish up after testing.
