Hey Key Clubbers! Welcome back from break~ I think right now is a busy time for a lot of people because of it's the season for course selections, college recs, robotics testing, and so much more. If you're not too busy right now, then you probably will be soon. But as a *wise* senior, I want you to all calm down :))
You'll get through all of this, and you'll be much happier if you get through it without so much unnecessary stress. Worry about one thing at a time, and take some moments to really look at your surroundings too. Don't ignore those around you either! Enjoy your commute to school or the brief moment of fresh air you get when you're walking to your bus stop or train station. We’re in March now, so the weather is going to turn nicer and the sky will be brighter. Plan a picnic with your friends the next time you have a break, or just do something small and simple that makes you happy. It's really easy to get lost in all of the things you have to do and lose track of everything as a result, but I know that you can all do it. Keep your head up!

Deforestation is a major environmental issue with far-reaching repercussions for the forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and climate. Reduced deforestation rates, as well as increased reforestation and sustainable forest management, are critical for minimizing the effects of climate change and conserving the world's natural resources. Signing petitions for causes that you believe in is one step to make change.

| Dyre Avenue Clean Up

Let's clean up the streets of the Bronx! Join H2O in their goals to inspire and educate New Yorkers about the city's water ecology. Gloves, garbage bags, and pickers will be provided. This is their second time cleaning up in the Dyre area so don't miss out on this excellent opportunity to give back to the Bronx! We highly recommend you wear appropriate attire and bring water!

| Landscaping and Cleanup at the Ridgewood Reservoir

The Ridgewood Reservoir in Highland Park is a 50+ acre natural oasis that sits between the border of Brooklyn and Queens. Once a water supply for the independent city of Brooklyn in 1859, the reservoir now stands decommissioned with only the natural laws of ecological succession taking its place. Let's come together to clean up and remove invasive plants from the course along the reservoir!
