Everything is looking pretty good to me.

Are posters/flyers going to be available for us to post?

Will you be getting the pint glasses together?

Also, will there be a way closer to the event to know/estimate how many participants there will be? I want to make sure we are staffed accordingly.

Hello Margaret and Matt,

I am looking forward to the Bike Walk Knoxville sponsored walking event coming up in a couple of months.  I wanted to touch base with both Earth Fare and Bearden Beer Market about the progress in planning the event.

The local American Volksmarching Association, the East Tennessee Wanderers, have taken the reigns in getting the event AVA Sanctioned.  They are promoting nationally, and are encouraging folks to travel for the event.  I'm pretty impressed by this organization, I've got to say!  I'm attaching the flyer which they have made.  I will be honest- I have not had a chance to look it over myself.

I have told the East TN Wanderers that Bike Walk Knox will cover the cost for the first beer for participants at Bearden Beer Market.  I also said we could do two rounds of pizza, one at noon and another at 2.  Apparently, for a walking event to be AVA sanctioned, the race course has to be open pretty much all day.

We have our monthly Bike Walk Knoxville meeting tonight.  We've been working on a grant application, so I haven't been filling anyone in on the progress this event has been making.  I think that we will discuss local promotion of the event tonight, and i'm going to ask for a volunteer to make a flyer.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?

Talk to you both soon,

Amy Benner
