BWK meeting Jan. 8

Good Morning all,

Our next meeting will be Wed. Jan 8th at the Jig and Reel, Old City at 5:50pm.
I know there are these items on the agenda:

• TDOT update: Amy and I delivered the petition with almost 800 signatures to the TDOT regional offices on Dec. 20th. We are awaiting their response and next plan.
• Amy, Caroline, Ellen, Jon , and Jim participated in a conference call with the Safe Routes to School Partnership staff, Keith Benjamin and Christy Smith on Dec. 19th to initiate BWK's technical assistance support from them. It was a very productive discussion and several action plans were developed for BWK. We are scheduling a workshop with City Council on Complete Streets in February, 2014.
• Officers: election of new officers for 2014.
• Fund raising: consider a mid-winter fund raiser, i.e. a "pint night" like last year.
• National Bike Summit: March 4-6, 2014. BWT will organize the TN delegation. We need representatives from our area and BWK may want to provide a scholarship for one of our members.
