Oh my God, this is chaos. Increasing teachers' salary by 50% at once can increase the wage bill kwambiri. No wonder MOF refused. May be it's better to do it in phases.
The complexity is that their salary is pegged using scale which applies to other professions as well such that raising the salaries will open a pandora box as the rest will want the same matching. Its a tough situation.
