Dear all,
as you may be aware, ZANEC has been advocating for the enactment of the
Teaching Profession Act as one of the means to achieve quality education in
our education system. Towards the end of 2012, ZANEC held consultation
meetings in all nine provinces - except Lusaka - where views and
recommendations were solicitated from the teaching professionals and civil
society on the Bill. In February, 2013, ZANEC was invited by Parliament to
make submissions on the Teaching Profession Bill as well as the Higher
Education Bill.
Find attached hereto the Teaching Profession Act and the Higher Education
Act for your information.
