Dear Class Representatives,
UK Trade and Investment team based out of the British Deputy High commission, Hyderabad visiting BVRIT,Hyderabad Campus on Saturday, 21st December 2013.
UK Trade and Investment and UK government has launched a new program to encourage entrepreneurs.
We are going to have a session by Mr.Joseph and Mr.Harveen from British Deputy High commission on this program to help students to start looking at entrepreneurship and new business ventures in the UK. This session will help students to get some funds and support from the UK government to start working as an entrepreneur in the UK.
The Sirius Programme is a UKTI support programme for graduate entrepreneurs to start up their business in the UK.
UK government will fund 12 K pounds to students, process Visa and put them in a incubation facility with many support layers.
The core offer is:
· Team of 2-4 where each gets a £12k grant
· A one year placement with a top UK accelerator including mentoring, support, advice and help to raise funding
· Endorsement for the Graduate Tier 1 Entrepreneurs visa
· Logistical support to help settle into the UK
· No equity taken from the business by UKTI or the accelerator
· For this year's intake, they need to be available to start full time by March 2014 or sooner
· Next year's programme will open around June 2014.

Note :
1. Limited seats are available. Prior registration is required to attend the session. I request the participants (interested to become entrepreneur) to share your details to the coordinators.
2. Students can exhibit / showcase their products on Saturday i.e 21st December 2013 at the Venue.
3. This event is for III , IV B.Techs and 2012,2013 Passed out students. If II B.Tech students interested to participate, they can.
