Want to know: First original novel in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam

Dear Scholars,

      Namaste.

      I know about the first Kannada novel (original) by M.S. Puttanna, viz. ಮಾಡಿದುಣ್ಣೋ ಮಹಾರಾಯ (Mādiduṇṇo Mahārāya). It was first published in 1915 (and later in 1949 and 1967). Its Tamil translation has also appeared with the title: வினை விதைத்தவன் வினையறுப்பபான் (Viṉai vitaittavaṉ viṉaiyaṟuppapāṉ) in 1995.

    I would like to know about the first novel in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam as well and whether translations in any other languages have also been published.

In Telugu, Veeresalingam Pantulu garu wrote "Rajasekhara Charitramu", a novel about the story of a Brahmin grihasta, in 1878. The novel is set in Rajahmundry and is critical of various practices of (Telugu) Brahmnins of that time, and pushes forward a reformist agenda.

There is a controversy regarding Sri Rajasekhara charitramu being the first Telugu novel.
Veereshalingam Pantulu's claim of his novel being the first stayed undisputed until Srirangarajacharitramu's copy was discovered by a researcher.

This novel Sri Rangarajacharitramu was written by Sri Gopalakrishnamma chetti.

It was sibmitted by him as part of his recruitment for ICS is what is mentioned in the gazette that was discovered by the researcher.

The gazette record had a copy of the novel without its cover page attached to it.

It is said that the researcher was able to retrieve the covrr page too later.

The gazette record has a date of eighteen hundred and sixty eight. Sri Rajasekhsracharitramu has a publlication date of eighteen hundred and seventy two.

BTW, are these two novels available nowadays? Further editions for any potential printing errors of the first editions?
