Namaste,

I am pleased to inform you that Bhishma School of Indian Knowledge System (BSIKS), located in Pune, has been officially recognized by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi (CSU) as a Recognized Institution for offering Skill and Professional Education courses. The Central Sanskrit University has acknowledged the Online Masters and Certificate Courses in Indian Knowledge System provided by Bhishma School. In the future, Bhishma School will introduce Diploma, P.G. Diploma, Bachelor, and Ph.D. programs in IKS. This achievement is not only significant for Bhishma School but also for the entire IKS sector in the country. Bhishma School has set a goal to train and develop one million IKS faculty members, teachers, experts, mentors, trainers, guides, and consultants. They will contribute to establishing IKS as the foundation for India's future and help the country become a VishwaGuru (world teacher) and a developed nation. IKS will become a distinguished brand of India and will serve as a guiding principle for sustainable development worldwide, with the principles of "Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah" (may all be happy) and "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family). IKS will revolutionize not only the education sector but also all other sectors of society. Please read the article for more details.

Bhishma School will be the first institution in the country to offer Online Master Courses in Indian Knowledge System. This initiative will provide aspiring students with the opportunity to pursue a career as a faculty member, teacher, or expert in the IKS sector. Bhishma School's courses in IKS are now recognized by the Central Sanskrit University in India and globally accredited by IACDSC, USA. Students will have opportunities both in India and globally. India is currently the 5th largest economy in the world, and the Prime Minister has expressed confidence that it will become the 3rd largest economy within the next 5 years. This growth will create global opportunities for Bhishma School's students, as the world is eager to understand the Indian Knowledge System that has led to this remarkable progress.

Additionally, Bhishma School has developed the Online IKS Faculty Development Program (IKS FDP Online), which will assist colleges and universities in developing their own faculty and courses in the Indian Knowledge System. Bhishma School aims to significantly expand the faculty and teacher base in the IKS sector through these Online Master Courses. For the first time in the country, Bhishma School will be launching courses in the following areas from January 2024 :

1) Character and Personality Building based on Indian Ethos

2) Human Values

3) Professional Ethics and Behavioral Ethics

4) Samskara including Kutumba Samskara, Shodash Samskara, Rashtra Samskara,  Sanskriti Samskara,  Niti Samskara, Samaj  Samskara, etc

As per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the recommendations of the National Education Policy:

1) Every student will be required to earn a minimum of 5% credits from IKS out of the total credits to obtain their degree (for Diploma, P.G. Diploma, Bachelor, Masters, Ph.D., Post Doctoral, D. Litt, or any other degree).

2) The UGC allows students to enroll in a double degree program, meaning they can simultaneously pursue another degree and acquire knowledge and skills in another field.

3) The UGC has included IKS and Hindu Studies in the subject list for the National Eligibility Test (NET).

4) The UGC has recommended that every college and university develop credit-based courses in IKS.

5) The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited proposals under the ATAL program for Faculty Development in the Indian Knowledge System.

We are trying to develop and strengthen a narrative based on the Indian Knowledge System. Bhishma School has set up a target to improve and develop the awareness and literacy level of youth of India about the Indian Knowledge System. It will enable them to lead and contribute for sustainable growth of India and the world.

We kindly request your active participation and sincere support in making this dream a reality through collective efforts and determination.
