Namaste,

In telugu we have a small booklet called "bAla-rAmAyaNam" published by "vaavilla rama shastrulu & sons".  This book in telugu script consists of invocatory verses to saraswati, ganapati and a few slokas selected from bAla-kANDa to uttara-kANDa of vAlmiki-rAmAyaNa.

This bAla-rAmAyaNam is taught generally among traditional telugu families for sanskrit learners immediately after completion of shabda-manjari and dhAtu-manjari.

I am looking for such concise work in dEvanAgari.

Thanking you in advance.

regs,
sriram

There is a श्रीरामोदन्त used by beginners of Sanskrit in Kerala, along with शब्दरूपाली, and धातुमञ्जरी: It is downloadable here Devanagari Text with English translation:

There is a work titled Bālarāmāyaṇam of Rājaśekhara

Please see this message

If a digital copy of the work you are referring to is available in Telugu Unicode, it should be easy to convert to Devanagari Unicode.

The above work is not meant for beginners, but a full -fledged महानाटक with the maximum number of अङ्क-s for a नाटक. And certainly may not be helpful for the beginners.

There is a लघुवाल्मीकीय instead similar to the one, with the selected verses from all the काण्ड-s from वाल्मीकिरामायण_

Dear Sri Ram,

The Bala Ramayanam of Telugu families is nothing but the first part of the Balakanda of VaalmIkiraamaayaNam alternatively called moolaraamaayaNam and sanksheparaamaayaNam.

So pdf of the Devanagari is abundantly available.

You might want to purchase the Gita press Devanagari print also.

Regards,

Nagaraj

The slokas in the attachment should also be useful for you. Highly interesting compilation.
