Brain model seminar Dec 20

Dear friends,

I am a physicist.  Physics helps us understand the universe as observed.

So the physics of language has been to interpret what we hear and find

ways to reproduce.  But the Indian philosophers did rightly declare that

the language is our expression and not what we hear.  The verb is 

भा and the language is भाषा .  Then the question would come how do we

create भाषा.  So you start from a basic evolutionary brain and develop 

language as a part of evolution.  This is the model I will present at

my seminar Saturday.  It's mathematical and is based on neuroscience.

We take the Vedas and PaNini as the empirical signatures to develop

the model.   

The material is complex and has many nuances.  We proceed with the 

scientific hypothesis that all designs are simple and logical.  I will explain

my algorithm in the seminar.  It's a thirty year journey and I am just beginning

to code.  I invite science-minded and technical individuals to help in the

development of the model.  It is a large project and we will seek public funding.

Hopefully we would have support for about a dozen researchers in phonetics,

grammar, brain sciences, linguistics and computing.

Two members in BVP - Dr Sivaram Subramanian and Dr Abhijit Mandal are

in our team now.  Dr BVK Shastry, Dr Subramanyam Korada and Dr Ashok Aklujkar

have been mentors to the project in various ways.  The meeting is Dec 20, 9 AM
