Friends,

Happy New Year.

As you might be observing, the US is full of protests these days.

Our November meeting of South Asian Poets of New England 

chose the topic "Protest".  We included an Afghan woman protest 

song and we had the songs from the Indian protests.  In all,

we had Hindi, English, Punjabi, Kannada, Bengali, Odia, Urdu,

Pashto, and Sanskrit poetry.  I recited from the Atharvaveda Kanda V,

Sukta 7 and translated.
