Caution while using the concepts of "soul" and "Rest in peace"

The word "soul" and the phrase "Rest in peace" have a certain philosophy /worldview , a certain religious faith, a certain metaphysics behind them.
 
I suggest to those using these expressions to be aware of those ideas and beliefs and check if they subscribe to those ideas before using such expressions.

I think even expressions such as ईश्वर उनकी आत्मा को शांति दे are new expressions created in imitation of contemporary expressions of RIP only.

Soul is not the same as आत्मन् . Soul is not the same as जीवः /जीवात्मन् too.
 
The concept of soul comes close to the concept of सूक्ष्मशरीरः .
 
Shastras give detailed idea of journey after life. RIP does not match with that.
