This PDF of Atmapurana (authored by Swami Shankarananda Saraswati, a Guru of Swami Vidyaranya) contains a unique exposition of the various facets of 'क्षुधा' 'Hunger', what all it can 'accomplish' etc. It's worth reading the 15 verses from 267 - 281 with the commentary and a Hindi translation too on pages 48, 49 and 50.
