V.S. Apte was among the five founders of the New English School and the first principal of the Fergusson College in Pune.  Paintings of the founders of these institutions can be seen at these institutions, both of which I attended.  I have photographed these at some point.  If I can locate them, I will gladly share them.

Here is the photograph showing the photoframes for the first five principals of the Fergusson College.  There is an actual photo of V. S. Apte, though my photograph is not so great.  Someone from Pune can go to the principal's office in the Fergusson College and take a better photo of the photoframe.
