Dear friends,,
Greetings.,
Piece of news.  I might have an algorithm now for a
first principles brain model.  The model entails cosmological
principles with neurological implications. I am talking to
various scholars through video conferences. They include
Prof Subrahmanyam Korada, Prof Ashok Aklujkar and
Dr BVK Shastry  I plan a few more meetings next couple
of weeks here on campus and in the hospitals.
I am meeting a few young researchers on Monday via
video.  I thought of inviting any scholar from this list who
might have modeling interest.  I am looking forward to
meeting young researchers who have a strong background
in the sciences and have a good knowledge in Paninian
grammar.
We prepare coding on this large model next month. It may
take two to three years to complete. I will do a formal seminar
on video on Dec 20 to update.
I give below the link for the Monday meeting.  Please send
me an advance mail if you would like to join. I take the
opportunity to express my gratitude to the list for having
helped me to think through the problem.
Best regards,
Bijoy Misra

"I might have an algorithm now for a first principles brain model. The model entails cosmological principles with neurological implications.": Fascinating; best wishes.
Thank you for sharing this update and the Zoom link, Prof Misra.

Best,
Megh

Hi!
I missed Monday's meeting as I saw the mail today.

I am working on something that touches the borders of neuro-linguistics. I believe each वर्ण has a neurosonic footprint and had self-evident meaning arising from brain neural circuitry  (called स्वयंभू वा स्वयं प्रोक्ता वा in our oral histories - श्रुति-स्मृति).

I believe that spoken language emerged ~20 lakh years ago with this neurosonic aspect, with Homo Erectus. That language later evolved into proto-Sanskrit and then into Sanskrit.
In its proto-Sanskrit phase, it has undergone two main linguistic revolutions, both of which emerged from changes in brain structures. The first revolution is संज्ञा revolution, and the other is (डु) कृञ् revolution.
संज्ञा revolution is when the brain evolved the ability to use वर्ण-समास as a pointer/label to composite meanings. This was an "evolution by selection" event. This caused the brain to be capable of more and more abstraction with each new generation.
The second event,  (डु) कृञ् revolution, made language "action/verb" centric, placing the verb in the driver's seat.

I am not into experimental neurology. And neurological interpretations are only peripheral observations.
But from what I am working on, i can clearly see that neurological evolution and linguistic evolution had gone hand in hand.

Please share your work if you can. I would love to explore

Regards
Keyur

Dear Sri Keyur,
We are doing scientific modeling.  There is no "I' in this.
Please write privately in a week or so, the video may be available.
But if you are only in intuition, this work would not be useful.
Regards,
Bijoy Misra

BVK Sastry:   The historic time line related is side issue and not so relevant  for this debate.  The cyclic time lines of Yoga by ‘Yuga- Chakra- Kaala maana’  is not resonating with evolution kind of time lines by Gregorian Time line or ‘Samvatsara Chakra’ which is popular understanding of ‘ Historic- Human- TIME’.

2.  On   <   I am not into experimental neurology. And neurological interpretations are only peripheral observations.  But from what I am working on, i can clearly see that neurological evolution and linguistic evolution had gone hand in hand. >

BVK Sastry: Science works with ‘WHAT IS GIVEN REALITY:  MATTER  AND PROCESS.

It does not matter even if < neurological interpretations are only peripheral observations  >  .

Accepting the given reality < Neurological Processing and Linguistic Processing   >  are < Going hand in hand> the quest – question right here is :

With Current Science, how to ‘Connect- Explore- Explain- Model- Measure’ < Brain (Neurological Processing )  -Language Process (Linguistic Processing )>

This is ‘Vedanga-Clarity on Science of  ‘Shikhsaa’ Shaastra’: The ‘Varna- Akshara- Anushaasanam’ and connect with ‘Chandas- Vyakarana- Nirukta’.
