Dear friends,
Our group India Discovery Center in the US has been interested
In India Studies in middle school and high school education.
We engage the local teachers such that they create modules of
India Studies in the curriculum.  India is mostly taught as a part
of the Ancient world.  We want to motivate the teachers to frame it
as a continuously living civilization discovering values and principles
with time.  Our book Evolution of India's Culture: Prehistory to 1947AD
makes a classroom handbook until Independence.  The ebook
is available through Amazon with link at our website
The PDF copy is freely downloadable from our website.
Currently we are working to extend our studies from 1947 AD
to the current time.  We had divided the history before 1947 to
seven periods (1) Indus  before 2000BC, (2) Vedic  2000BC - 700BC,
(3)Classical 700BC-200BC (4)Golden 200BC-500AD (5) Hindu 500AD-1500AD
(6) Moghul 1500AD-1750AD (7)British 1750AD- 1947AD
We add two new periods: Reformation 1947AD-1990AD
Globalization !990-2025AD
In order to map history for a quantitative evaluation, we have created
a 36 parameter model.  I am writing this mail to seek out interested
scholars who may like to score the model.  It may take about two hours
to score the model for a good student of history.  We need a good statistical
sample for further analytic work.  You may read our book or other
books to gain your standing.  We will pay $25 (Rs 2000)for each completed
score for nine periods.
In a global rating we see the following (in a scale 0-9):
Indus 5, Vedic 6, Classical 7, Golden 8, Hindu 7, Moghul 5, British 3,
Post-independence 5, Globalization 6
We want to validate with more samples.
Please write to me if you are interested or have questions.
I must acknowledge that the inception of this project has a lot
to do with BVP and I am immensely grateful to the group for
the guidance and the education.
Best regards,
Bijoy Misra
