Is the Sushruta-sa.mhitaa in the file  a critically edited text useful for research ? Or which is a critically edited one ? Could you kindly tell me ? Regards,SMMishra

The file contains just the text portion only and is not critically edited. But only the text portion, as the initial label makes it clear, might have consulted for typing in the text details are given..

Just I meant, it can be used for searching the words within the file using Devanagari Unicode fonts and didn't mean that it is prepared for research purpose. It is for only for personal use and not for any critical publication that it is prepared..

My sinceremost thanks to Dr.s H.N.Bhat, Rani Sadashiv Murty and Surendra Mohan Mishra. I have not yet downloaded them but I am sure that this will help. My own book edited  by Mm. Pañcānana Tarkaratna seems to be a bit outdated. Hence this request.

Please do not hesitate ask for any academic assistance from me that I can render through the BVP.

Sir,

Pranam. Just for your information! National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage, Hyderabad (erstwhile IIHM) has produced CDs on Charakam and Sushrutam at an affordable price. Both are digitized with Chakrapani and Dalhana's commentaries in Sanskrit. You may contact the Director for details.

Otherwise, I-SERVE, Hyderabad has also prepared a CD on Charaka Samhita with search facilities.

Its an irony that no critical edition is available on any Ayurveda text. A research group in Switzerland seems to working on critical edition of Charakam with 50 manuscripts.

Can you please give us the details of your own publication?
