Please see attached Old Journal contents of "Bhāratī : Bulletin of the College of Indology Vol. 01 - 05 (1956-62)"

Bhāratī: Bulletin of the College of Indology. Banaras Hindu University, College of Indology, 1957–. is a foundational academic journal published between the late 1950s and 1980s by BHU, focusing on archaeology, ancient Indian law, Vedic/post-Vedic history, and dynastic studies this journal holds a significant place in Indological research.

1983 onward, subtitled as Bulletin of the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology.

I remember, my last posting in this heading was Mysore orientalist, covered upto Vol. 3. Very soon I will continue to share the remaining issues.

Dear Narenthiran ji,

This is fantastic.

I am simply amazed at the productivity of scholars like V. S. Agrawala, A. K. Narain, V. S. Pathak, Raj Bali Pandey, and others. Also, I deeply appreciate their aesthetic sense: the quality of printing, layout, choice of fonts, and everything is top class. It seems, with the loss of scholarship we also lost all these qualities. Many of our present day journals are gaudy and tacky.

Anyway, I will be very thankful to you if you could help me with Shama'a, a Magazine of Art, Literature, and Philosophy, from Madras? V. S. Sukthankar serially published his translation of the Vasavadatta in it in early 1920s. Also, any help with the Theosophist 44, 1923, which featured a review of the said work, will be greatly appreciated.

This is great! I had tried to search for this magazine from the website but could not find the link to it. Now thanks to you I see that it is not a review as such but rather a passing remark, and that too on two installments published in the magazine Shama'a.

I have seen almost everything published by V. S. Sukthankar, but thank you nevertheless for pointing out this translation to me . I am working on a biography of Dr. Sukthankar and I thought it would be worthwhile to look at what I thought was a review of his translation.

PS: I remember one article by (most probably) V. Raghavan (in Brahmavidya) in which he talks about śleṣa in śilpas (for example, when viewed from one angle it looks like a horse, from another a bull) which mirrored the same in literature. This was also discussed by Pravin Mohan in one of his videos. I checked V. Raghavan's bibliography and index of Brahmavidya but failed. Do you recall something like this? If not, please do not bother. Thank you.
