भ्रस्ज् + क्विप् -> भृस्ज्

Can someone please explain how the above works? 

I understand that

-भ्र -> भृ due to सम्प्रसारणम्

-प् is elided using हलन्त्यम्

-क् is elided using लशक्वतद्धिते

How does वि get elided? Which sutra is implemented for the elision of वि? Please let me know.
