Congratulations to Prof Kutumba Shastri.  Let me share a personal story..  Prof Kutumba Shastri was invited to speak 

in a seminar at Harvard in 2002.  I was asked to introduce him.  The process and his contributions had an impact on me to 

pursue Sanskrit studies seriously.
