In search of a subhāşita.

Dear friends, 

There is a subhāşita which compares  शास्त्र with शस्त्र. 

I am unable to recollect the exact words.

This is the purport:-

Both are very beneficial if the possessor is proficient in its proper employment.  Otherwise,  both may be harmful. 

Request scholars to help  get it.

May be this is the shloka you wanted - It is from Hitopadesha 1.7

The purport is a little different-

विद्या शस्त्रस्य शास्त्रस्य द्वे विद्ये प्रतिपत्तये ।
आद्या हास्याय वृद्धत्वे द्वितीयाद्रियते सदा ॥७॥

Here it is:

•दुर्गृहीतं क्षिणोत्येव शास्त्रं शस्त्रमिवाबुधम्।

सुगृहीतं तदेव ज्ञं शस्त्रं शास्त्रं च रक्षति।

(चरकसंहिता, सिद्धिस्थानम्, 12,49)
