I wish to find if all upaniShada-s could be found with svara.
By the word 'all', I mean at least ten famous Upanishads, and if possible more.
I know that respective veda-shAkhA-s are now extinct in many cases.
But, I hope that such reading is saved somewhere, because all vaidika-sampradAya-s were seriously busy in saving these with correct (intended) meaning.
If there is already any such publication, please guide me to it.
Otherwise, please put your views about possibilities to find these and ways to collect.
We wish to publish such an edition, if possible.

1. I found snapshots of pages with the 19th century devanagari font with svara of some Upanishads posted on certain websites. sample attached here.┬а

2. Similar older prints in Telugu script were done by Vavilla Ramasvami Shastrulu, Madras and other such publishers.┬а

3. Oral version is preserved in all the v─Уda p─Бс╣нha┼Ы─Бlas. So it is very much possible to document it again. But other members should be able to confirm that my memory of having seen the printed versions is not wrong. So we may not be in need of reinventing the wheel for most of the main upanishads.┬а

Regards,

Nagaraj┬а

The accent marking for BrihadaaraNyaka is studied at vedavid.org/SBintro.html as part of their S'atapathabraahmaNa maadhyandina s'aakha study.

I'm sorry for not replying on time.

So, we have Isha, taittirIya, mahAnArAyaNa, and mAdhyandinashAkhIya-bR^ihadAraNyakopaniShad; mainly because their pATha-paramparA is still there.

Other upaniShad-s are without svara, because we have lost pATha-paramparA(shAkhA) or don't have manuscripts with svara-mark.

If students/scholars find any other upaniShad anywhere, please post to this thread in future. I'll try to find in manuscripts with the help of veda-paNDita-s.

Please, start a new thread for 'Catalogus Catalogorum' and post all updates at one place. That will help people to find related things at a place and save other threads from being hijacked.

BTW, if anyone doesn't know how to start a new thread:
1. Don't reply to any BVP post with undesired subject.
