Dear Shri Ramakrishnan,

Thank you for the link to the complete recitation of the Ghanapāṭha of the Kr̥ṣṇa Yajurveda. This is a wonderful gift for the new year. I know that there was an institution in Pune with the name Veda-Vikr̥ti-Lekhana-Kāryālaya.  During my student days, I used to pass by the building with this board almost daily.  I wonder if they are continuing their work, and if any of their work has been published.  Our Pune friends may be able to provide some information on the current state of this activity.  With regards,

Dear Prof. Deshpandeji!

Namaskar.

I tried my best to elicit info. and data, for publishing/programming/academic research, the manual work on writing all vikrti-s of Rgveda by this institution
through Prof. Bhagyalata Pataskar, who seems to be currently in a position to help in this regard. She says the work is completed, but due to some organisational issues, not brought out.

I have some volunteers RgVeda kramapathi-s wanting to do data entry, laksana study correlation etc. for bringing this monumental work to traditional users.
I have not been successful so far with reluctance from the other side baffling.

If you could help in any way, you are most welcome.

Regards

Ramanujan

Dear Dr. Ramanujan,

Though I am originally a Punekar, and I visit Pune frequently, I have been away from Pune for the past 50 years, and hence do not have active contacts with many institutions in Pune.  I hope Dr. Pataskar can be of help to your project.

Thanks for your mail, Prof. Deshpande.
Do you know/can you speak to Dr. Bhagyalata Pataskar on this?

Prof. Deshpande,

Please take a look at

This is a link to the acchidra prashnam. You can find links to a whole bunch of recitations by different paNDita-s there. It’s not properly labeled.

The mp3s with titles YajurVedaPartXX.mp3 were released by an organization called Vediclinks about 2 decades back. These are absolutely the gold standard in kR^iShNa-yajus recitation and very faithfully preserve the injunctions from the various shikShA texts. You will definitely enjoy these. However they did not release ghana, except for namakam.

The list-members who know Tamil, or can follow, it may find it useful to listen to one of the stalwarts of our times, Sri Krishnamurti Sastrigal, on vikR^iti-pAtha-s and the pa~nca-sandhi gaNa in particular:

How I wish Google would one day provide a translation of the videos from Tamil into English or Sanskrit.
