On the occasion of celebrating Sri Aurobindo's Birthday & the Independence Day of India, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Union Territory of Puducherry started a new project ‘Bharat Vaibhav: Diversity of Expressions & the Cultural Unity of India.’
A widest and highest spiritualising of life on earth is the last vision of all that vast and unexampled seeking and experiment in a thousand ways of the soul’s outermost and innermost experience which is the unique character of [India’s] past; this in the end is the mission for which she was born and the meaning of her existence. - Sri Aurobindo
The culture of Bharat is unique in the world. It represents vast history from thousands of years of its existence including diverse influences and rich traditions. India is known for its immense cultural diversity, which manifests in various forms. Its ability to adapt and integrate diverse influences while retaining core traditions is a testament to its enduring strength and relevance.
Bharat Vaibhav- an initiative of AuroBharati, SAS focuses on the study the various aspects of Indian Culture in the light of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. Through interdisciplinary research, emphasis will be given on the peculiarities of Indian Culture including the concept of culture, establishing the link between culture and Civilization, describing the distinctive features of Indian culture with different art forms, explaining the points of diversity and underlying unity and the cross-cultural relationship for a better understanding of culture and its continuity.
First Edition of ‘Bharat Vaibhav: Diversity of Expressions & the Cultural Unity of India’ will be held on 5th September, 2024 at 05:00 pm (through online mode)
On this occasion, Shri Vinay Kumar Sinha (Secretary, Sri Aurobindo Society, Gaya Centre, Bihar), Shri Audhendra Pandey (Life-Member of Lucknow Branch, UP), Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy (Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry), Shri Vinod Marodia (Founder Member, Sri Aurobindo Society, Dehri-On-Sone Branch, Bihar), Dr Ram Sharma (Principal, SSB PG College, Raniganj, Ballia, UP),Dr. Amaresh Pandey (Member, SAS, Jabalpur Branch, Madhya Pradesh), Dr Arun Prakash (Essayist, Philosopher) and Dr. Ankit Agrawal (Academician in Tourism, Department of Jiwaji University, Gwalior) will share glimpses on this subject.
