Manfred even approved me putting it online in a letter from him:

http://samskrtam.ru/kewa-ewa/

the scan I made based on EWA is worse, so I could not make an electronic version of EWA. But there is one at Leiden.

Nice!! The definition pics - could you just OCR those? It would be very useful.

No, Vishvas, closed for University. Somehow similar to Deccan College.

I am talking about KEWA (http://samskrtam.ru/sanskrit-lexicon/KEWA/ ). The headwords are nicely OCR-ed, but not the entries seen on the webpage...

ha! If you ever get a copy, let me know.

Somehow similar to Deccan College.

What's Deccan college holding back?

Entries contain 20 languages. I do not want garbage and I will not proofread it - it will take years of labor. The headwords are checked twice.

All the Pune dictionary slips and high quality scans of 1500 books (=OCR) on which the dictionary is based on.

Still the script is common and simple.

sothah m. Anschwellung, Geschwulst, Aufgedunsenheit / swelling, tumor (Suśr., u.a.); von sophaḥ m.
— Gesonderte Etyma bieten Charpentier, MondOr. 2, 29 (sopha-: lit. šup' verfaule [: šiumpù, Fraenkel 993 a f.]), Holthausen, IF 60, 277 (sotha- : ae, hodma Grabhügel, u. a.); 8. noch Kuiper 18.
Lex, sotha-,dumm, einfältig, Dieb' u.a. soll ,,verächtlich für kl. śotha- ,Aufgedunsenheit“ stehen (Wack. II/2, 549). Frag. lich; nach Kuiper 101 Anm. 143, 134 wohl ein Munda-Wort.

Despite all the mistakes (which can be optionally mentally corrected by the reader esp given the corrected headwords), that is not "garbage". The most important parts ("Anschwellung, Geschwulst, Aufgedunsenheit / swelling, tumor")  are quite clear. Even if you don't find it useful, others (like me) will find it useful - so, do OCR if it's no big deal.

I did not made it in 2005 and guess will not make now as well.

The following was sent in response to a digest  received by the sender.

Members, please respond to the relevant thread only

I am happy to tell you that the Sanskrit-Spanish dictionary is available now in India through Goyal Publishers. This is a revised and updated version of the Sanskrit-Catalan dictionary. Much work has been done to find the Spanish equivalents of Sanskrit botanical terms into Spanish. Moreover the comparative etymology of Sanskrit words, mostly according to the work of M. Mayrhofer, and the Paninian derivations are given side by side.

Best wishes

Oscar Pujol
