Dear Colleagues and Researchers,
Submissions are invited for the Special Session: "Bhāratīya Linguistic Thought and Multilingual Cognition: Conceptual Models and Trans-Himalayan Perspectives" to be held during the Mind, Brain, and Consciousness Conference (MBCC 2026), hosted by IIT Mandi (June 3–7, 2026).
This session explores the intersection of classical Indian frameworks—such as Antaḥkaraṇa, Sphoṭa, and Sambandha—with contemporary cognitive science, AI, and psycholinguistics.
Mode of Participation:
The session will be held in Hybrid Mode (In-person at IIT Mandi and Virtual/Online participation for remote presenters).
Key Themes:
IKS-based Cognitive Architectures
Philosophy of Mind (Pre-verbal to Articulated Speech)
Multilingualism in Trans-Himalayan Languages (e.g., Kinnauri)
Knowledge Representation & Relational Logic in AI
Deadline for Extended Abstracts/Papers: March 25, 2026
Publication: Selected papers will be published in the Springer conference proceedings.
