Does science decisively confirm that the "Universe is a mental construction" ? (loosely translated as "dristi sristi vada" of Vedanta)

Some people have stated openly:

However, This is an overstatement of what science currently tells us. Quantum physics tells us that the observer affects reality. read this blog below from a reputable publication: Scientific American: for details.:

the conclusion states:

"If nothing else, these experiments are showing that we cannot yet make any claims about the nature of reality, even if the claims are well-motivated mathematically or philosophically. And given that neuroscientists and philosophers of mind don’t agree on the nature of consciousness, claims that it collapses wave functions are premature at best and misleading and wrong at worst."

I have not done extensive research on this topic. Please send me up to date information, so that we can understand physics as it is understood by Scientists.

Please read https://bigthink.com/13-8/quantum-mechanics-buddhism . This is written by a physicist and a practitioner of Buddhism. He does not accept that quantum mechanics favors vijnaanavada. Also, in quantum mechanics, the observer need not be a conscious being.

Dear Sri Krishna ji,

There are many claims and counterclaims on this topic.  Traditional Vedanta, however, is indifferent to these. Some might take one or the other stand.  People cite this or that 'eminent' scientist.  Here is one such that is making the rounds:

Namaskar Sri Krishna Kadiri Ji,  Sri V. Subrahmanian Ji,
Thanks for sending information in this area.

I am trying to understand the real physics behind those views. I have seen the  blanket statements of Hans-Peter Deurr and R.C Henry. However, I wanted to talk to real scientists who have understood such phenomenon well. Since I could not find an in-depth paper from these two scientist, These two blanket statements looks more like a magazine advertisement rather than a deep paper on physics. I want to see real deeper papers which talk things in depth.

There are several articles like :

These articles are useful since they go one step further. However, I want to talk to someone who has worked in this area so that I can ask questions to get to some deeper understanding.

I have a friend who works in MIT Lincoln lab in the high energy physics area. I will check with him soon.

Best Regards,

Krishna Kashyap

Dear Krishna Kashyapji

I think these kinds of discussions can offer an indication, but not a definitive “proof” of advaita.  For a good scientist perspective checkout “Mind, Matter and Quantum Mechanics” by Henry Stapp.
