This is why I keep asking organisers to record conferences held in India. This way more people will come *to* India for conferences if the recorded talks are of high quality. Otherwise the currency barrier alone is enough to mute voices from India and obscure nuances.

High quality recording anywhere in the world is a good idea, Dr. Galstian, India included. 

I am quite surprised by the WSC 2021 model though: one would have to pay a minimum of ~INR 30,000/- to be eligible to present a paper? Well.

This is actually inexpensive. Usually the IEEE (institute of electrical and electronic engineers) conferences run $1000 - US - or more for a 4 - 5 days. I think there is the issue of paying for the conference venues etc., they do run to significant amounts.
