My Pranams to all Esteeemd scholar

I am Very Happy to share that My 26th book -  Tantrayukti - IKS Based Handbook for Thesis Construction has been published by Indic Academy.

This publication represents nearly two decades of sustained engagement—comprising five years of doctoral research followed by about fifteen years of academic study, teaching, and writing on this subject. It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I place this work before the academic community.

This book serves as a practical guide to the classical Indian methods of clear thinking, deep reading, and rigorous thesis construction. It is intended to benefit students, researchers, and all who wish to strengthen their writing and reasoning skills. Each yukti has been illustrated with examples drawn from a wide range of Indian knowledge texts, including the Kauṭilya Arthaśāstra, Caraka and Suśruta Saṃhitā, the Aṣṭādhyāyī, and other foundational works.

The volume also includes key takeaways for researchers as well as for thesis evaluators. A comprehensive thesis evaluation checklist, along with qualitative and quantitative grading methods, has been provided to help improve the content, structure, and language of academic dissertations.

The book also offers a range of hands-on activities and practical insights to deepen engagement with the material. In addition, it includes 50 self-evaluation questions—ranging from multiple-choice to short-answer and essay-type items—to help readers assess their understanding and strengthen their analytical skills. It is also intended to serve as course material for Master’s programs in Indian Knowledge Systems as well as for Ph.D. coursework in research methodology within the IKS framework.

The work has been blessed with Forewords by Prof. Shrinivasa Varkhedi ji, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central Sanskrit University, and Prof. Ahalya Sharma ji, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Karnataka Sanskrit University. It also carries words of commendation from Dr. H. R. Nagendra ji, Padma Shri awardee, President, S-VYASA, and Prof. B. Mahadevan ji, Former Professor, IIM Bangalore.

My sincere gratitude to Indica, under the leadership of Hari Kiran ji, for their wholehearted and unwavering support toward this publication.  .

I sincerely hope that this book will be of value to the IKS fraternity and the wider research community.

regards
Dr. M.Jayaraman
