Dear Scholars

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I write to invite you to attend and present your esteemed views at the upcoming National Seminar on "Revitalizing Indian Knowledge Systems: Bridging History and Technology." The seminar is scheduled to take place on January 23rd - 24th, 2025, at Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, Chennai, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Historical Research, Govt. of India.

The theme of the seminar is designed to explore the dynamic interplay between history and technology, with a focus on revitalizing Indian knowledge systems. We believe that your expertise and insights would greatly enrich the discussions and contribute to the seminar's objectives.

Themes of the Seminar:

1.       History and Knowledge Systems
Delving into the origins, evolution, and significance of Indian knowledge systems, focusing on ancient, medieval, and modern contributions to various fields.

2.     Technology as a Tool for Revitalization
Investigating how modern technologies like digital archiving, AI-based data analytics, and multimedia platforms can document, analyze, and disseminate traditional knowledge systems.

3.     Narrative Building and Communication
Examining how storytelling, digital media, and educational tools can create compelling narratives to make traditional Indian knowledge systems relevant to contemporary society.

4.     Civilizational Continuity
Discussing the persistence of core values, traditions, and cultural practices across generations in Indian society.

5.     Internal Migrations and Adaptations
Analyzing the role of internal migrations within India in shaping cultural diversity and regional interactions.

6.     External Migrations and Adaptations
Exploring the impact of external migrations and how diasporic movements have influenced and contributed to the global spread and adaptation of Indian knowledge systems.
