Glory of Sanskrit and Sanatan in IKS

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss the potential inclusion of a fascinating topics in our curriculum in schools and universities that explores the rich historical connections between ancient India, Hinduism, and various cultures around the world.

Specifically, I believe it would be valuable to examine the ancient Indo-African connections, the significance of the Mitanni Kingdom, and the Sanskrit inscriptions that have been discovered globally. Additionally, the prevalence of yajnas across different cultures and the intriguing fact that many Iranian kings bore names derived from Sanskrit could provide a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.

Furthermore, it would be interesting to explore how the Romans engaged in similar practices, such as performing homas, which could highlight the interconnectedness of ancient civilizations.

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this matter and whether there might be an opportunity to incorporate these themes into our studies. I believe that such an exploration could enrich our understanding of history and foster a greater appreciation for the cultural exchanges that have shaped our world.

How interesting that all these vidvajjan like Nityananda ji, Bijoy ji were giving me a hard time all this while to come with my real ID and clarify my credentials as a scholar while allowing this gentleman to be exempted from this scrutiny.

I would like to add that this gentleman should display his real name and clarify his credentials as a scholar to be eligible for a BVP membership.

There is no academic degree based credentials stipulated for the membership of BVP. 

FYI, there was an occasion when he was asked to share his actual name and he did share .  This was around 7th July, 2024.

What I am asking him to do now is only changing the display name.

Like you, I have also many suggestions. But action-implementation support does not emerge just by thin – bubble- spread (= budbudha – bhaavanaa- bhashaa- taranga) of good ideas over social multiple identity/  faceless- networks without answering the basic writing on wall: ‘Kasmai devaaya  Vidyayaa Shikshanena- Havishaa- Vidhema ?’ . 

 

And I am conscious that I am scripting ‘Samskruth Terms in Roman alphabet and responding a ‘Samskruth question’ using  Language: ‘English (current period idiom- medium- Technology eco system)’.  

 

How can you help to build ‘Samskruth Samvaad- Appropriate Techo-Device system ? pl.

It was very depressing to realize that all the references and mentions of the global flourishing of Sanatana Dharma and Sanskrit were left untouched in our textbooks. We were given the impression that our ancestry is tribal, similar to the Indus Valley Civilization depicted in the movie "Mohenjo Daro," which I had watched.

We have a history in our minds that follows this roadmap:

- Tribal Harappan Civilization

- Mauryan Golden Age

- Continuation in Gupta Age

- Weak Hindu Kings

- Extensive study of "Secular" Islamic Invaders (Mohammad Ghori, Sultanate, Tughlaq, Lodhi, Mughal, Slave Dynasties, etc.)

- Brief mention of belittled Southern Kingdoms (Cholas, Pandyas, Rashtrakutas, Gurjara Pratihara, Rajputs, Sikhs and Marathas etc.)

- East India Company

- Battle of Plassey

- 1857 Failed Revolution

- Bengal Divide

- Advent of Gandhi

- Repeated Failed Attempts to Dethrone the British

- Change of Heart of the British

While we are left clueless about how our ancient and medieval history extends beyond this. We must include the aforementioned topics in our textbooks and provide a comprehensive study of how Sanskrit and Sanatana Dharma flourished around the world, supported by all available evidence.
