Relation between advaita vedanta and Srividya tantra sadhana

Respected vidvajjans,

Kindly clarify few doubts of mine regarding the relation between Srividya tantra sadhanand advaita tradition: 

Mathas established by Adi Sankara like Sringeri, Puri etc actively support the propagation of Sri Vidya and its associated rituals like worship of Sri Chakra, recitation of stotras etc. Recently the younger of sannidhanam of Sringeri peetha even announced that just as boys are initiated to Gayatri mantra, there is a need to initiate girls with some common mantra and specified Bala Tripurasundari mantra for upadesha. Biographies of earlier Sringeri acharyas also show that they initiated deserving persons to Panchadashi too.

My questions are as follows: 

1. whether the advaitic tradition accepts the tantric basis of Srividya sadhana and more so its philosophical basis of Kameshvari and Kameshvara residing in the bindu of Srichakra vis a vis the concept of Parabrahman?

2. Many smartas who follow the Sankara mathas, actively conduct the rituals as per the tantric traditions. This is true for both south and north parts of India. Many follow Bhaskararaya's ritual manual and commentary on Lalita sahastranamam and Bhavanopanishad etc, Sri Karapatriji swamiji even wrote/compiled a book on Srividya sadhana based on tantras. How well these practices gel with the philosophical base of advaita as expounded in commentaries of Adi Sankara on prasthanatrayas? 

3. I have heard some of the modern practitioners of Srividya sadhana happily mixing Sankara's advaita with that of Kashmir Saivisim. Is there any consonance between these two discourses? 

Kindly shed light on these issues either directly or by referring to studies conducted on these issues. Few western scholars have indeed worked on these topics but I am more interested in insiders' perspectve.
