Here is a brief report of AIOC 51st session hosted by BVP in association with Paryaya Puthige Matha and Central Samskrit University
The Local Secretary of 51st AIOC, Prof. Shivani V reported that over 1,101 participants attended, with 891 research papers presented. Among these contributions, 511 were from faculty members, while 426 were contributed by research scholars. Notably, scholars from the United States, Japan, and Sri Lanka and India delivered impactful lectures in the plenary sessions, highlighting Sanskrit’s growing global presence.
The gender representation was significant, with 700 female participants nearly matching the 911 male participants, showcasing the increasing popularity of Sanskrit among women. Prof. Shivani earnestly mentioned the introduction of a new segment focusing on Shastric discourse, designed specifically for women and girls aged 15 and above
At this 51st AIOC, 28 ,first day distinguished Sanskrit scholars received honorary titles such as "Mahamahopadhayaya" in recognition of their contributions to the field from Bharatiya Vidvat Parisad.

On the second day of the event, powerful Shastric discourses in various branches of traditional Sanskrit learning were held, featuring vibrant National Sanskrit University, Tirupati School of Shastric Learning KKSU Karnatak University Karnataka Samskrit University JNU News Update Delhi university Info. Department of Sanskrit, JMI, New Delhi Indian Council For Cultural Relations Icpr Delhi The contributions of young, dynamic scholar Prof Braj Bhushan Ojha, BHU Banaras Hindu University - Varanasi , was also very praiseworthy of course .
Valedictory
The Hon'ble Swami Ji Dr Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaguru of Puttige Matha in Udupi blessed the gathering, calling Sanskrit a powerhouse of knowledge and wisdom and lauding the Gita as a source of eternal and spiritual values for the world . He emphasized Sanskrit’s foundational role in Indian and even certain foreign languages, including English.
The Chief Guest, Shri Dinesh Kamat Samskrita Bharati , one of the pioneers of Simple Standard Sanskrit (SSS), praised the conference for its impact and encouraged India to overcome colonial mindsets in its pursuit of a new, innovative Bharat. He highlighted the importance of such conferences in advancing this mission.
In a remarkable display of scholarship, over 50 books were released, including published by Central Sanskrit University, Delhi ,Kavikul Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramteke and Vaidic Sansodhan Mandal ,Pune. Notably, 'शास्त्रपद्धति:', authored by Hon'ble VC Prof. Shrinivas Varakhedi and translated by Prof. Ajay Kumar Mishra Ajay Kumar Mishra was released by Yogguru Swami Ramdev and other frontiers of Indian culture and Sanskrit etc scholars at the inaugural session. Its Marathi translation was also released in its veldictory session . The translation of 'शास्त्रपद्धति:' into varous Indian languages approves Sanskrit as vital and prolonged cementing relationship with several Indian languages . The Marathi translation of this original Sanskrit book has been translated by Nirupama Kksu Pro that was also released on Veldictory session .
The conference featured several cultural performances, including '#ततभारतम्,' an astonishing dance-drama directed by renowned artists Nirupama and Rajendran, vividly depicting Indian culture and history. A ' #Yaskshgan' performance showcased episodes from Lord Krishna's childhood, with talented local artists adding a rich cultural layer to the event. Additionally, '#षोडशसंस्कार', directed by Sri Manoj Kumar Mishra and scripted by Prof. Dharmendra Kumar Singhdev, portrayed the sixteen Vedic rites and ritualities capturing the audience's attention and underscoring the cultural legacy for the younger generation.
The 51st AIOC not only strengthened the foundation of Sanskrit scholarship but also offered a vibrant blend of academic and cultural events, bridging tradition and modernity in an inspiring atmosphere.
