JustDear Niranjan,You can profitably read the English version of Sanskrit Svayam Shikshak by Pandit Shripad Damodar Satvalekar of Svadhya Mandal,Killa Paradi,dist.Valsad,Gujarat.He has claimed that those who master this book can easily understand the Ramayana and Mahabharat. In his latest edition,he has added some matter on Vedas also. This book is available in Gujarati, Hindi,Marathi and English.

harih om,please search for Vadhyar RS on archive.org. Patiently scroll down the search results. You would fine Infant Reader and subsequent grade school books. They all have English as the initial medium. Hope this helps. Namaste.
The challenge is Bhandarkar books (the idea) are the only gift for human kind for learning any language not only tSanskrit. No book can replace.Avoid self study. Save time.
