1.     This is clarification request on the way 'introductory invocation text' shown for some chapters of Acharya Madhwa commentary on Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, ( One of the sarvamoola granthas) and the last sloka of Gita 18-78 ). This model of adding a 'devataa name' at the introductory invocation is not seen in the commentaries of Acharya Shankara and Ramanuja.

Acharya Madhwas  commentary on Gita starts at 2-11. At this point, there is no introductory invocation text. ( https://sites.google.com/site/srimadhvyasa/  and  https://srimadhvyasa.wordpress.com/acharya-madhwa/srimad-bhagavad-gita-bhashya/ - Text edits published by Sri Vyasanakere Prabhankanacharya). This link does not show the introductory invocation text shown in Gita Supersite link.

Also I notice that the ending portion of Acharya Madhwa Bhashya in Gita Supersite for 18-78 has two verses which is not seen in the link <https://srimadhvyasa.wordpress.com/acharya-madhwa/srimad-bhagavad-gita-bhashya/   -- Text edits published by Sri Vyasanakere Prabhankanacharya>.

The   introductory invocation in Acharya Madhwa bhashya  are seen at the chapter commencement, shown below. Some chapters have a < म्।  > (which could be for ' Om / Hari Om / Or just a computer glitch !).

Rest of the chapters have no such  indicated introductory invocation.

Chapter 4: श्रीमदमलबोधाय नमः।

Chapter 7: श्रीमद्वरदराजाय नमः।

Chapter 8: नमः श्रीमते कृष्णाय।

Chapter 9: श्रीरङ्गनाथाय नमः।

Chapter 12: उपासनाप्रियाय नमः |

Chpater 14: साधनकृज्ज्ञानदात्रे नमः |

Chpater 15: संसारच्छेत्रे नमः |

Chpater 16 : साधनविघ्नहर्त्रे नमः

Chapter 17: सर्वगुणपूर्णाय नमः |

Chpater 18 : अनन्तगुणपूर्णाय नमः |

The above 'text of introductory invocation' is seen in the scanned text available at the resource url : https://archive.org/stream/Srimad.Bhagavad-Gita.with.Eleven.Commentaries.by.Shastri.Gajanana.Shambhu.Sandha/Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita.with.Eleven.Commentaries#page/n389/mode/2up

B) Acharya Jayateertha does not make any pointer to the value of such introductory invocation. In fact, only in chapter 3 and 6 of Jayateertha commentary,  we see the text reading < श्रीव्यङ्कटेशाय नमः।>  .

QUESTION-1:  Is there any special significance on why Acharya Madhwa (seems to have used) the above names in relation to select Gita Chapters?  Or is it a ' Text editing/ entry glitch and linked to  the copy-scribe of the manuscripts'?

Question -2:   What may be the  Authenticity of the  two slokas ( obviously in bad taste) noted as  end portion of 18-78 Acharya Madhwas commentary as per link  of Maharashtra publication and   which seem to  have been ' dropped in   current available Kannada version, reading as below ?

How are the above slokas  treated for the authenticity    in  the current  tradition of  Gita studies in Madhwa sampradaya and academics ?

With regard to the two verses that you have described as being in bad taste, I have heard that they have been added by some disciples of Madhva and not compositions of Madhva himself.  The clue is: ...यतीन्द्रे भक्तिरस्तु मे  - an obvious reference to Madhva by one of his disciples.

I also heard that this 'practice' of adding verses by someone who is not the author of the original work is seen in a/some works of Jayatirtha as well.
