When to saayam sandhyavandanam on 25.10.22

As there is solar eclipse with asthamana  when to do evening sandhyavandanam..?

One or 2 tarpanams?

Namaste,

Gayatri Japa is already a part of Sandhya. We can do Sandhya as usual and continue Japa till after Sunset. Tila Tarpana should be done by person who has lost his father during Grahana after taking bath.

At chennai solar eclipse starts at 17:14 and ends at 1820 or so.

Saayam sandhya kalam is few minutes before sunset. Generel rule is to give arghyam before sunsets, do gayaptri japa till sun sets & do upasthAna after sunset. 

The present eclipse is a grastAstamanam.

Should we give arghyam before eclipse or during eclipse or after the eclipse?

During eclipse full sun is not there, can we give arghyam..

After eclipse sunset has already happened...

What is the sequence of duties to do in eclipse time?

Sparsha snAnam

Tarpanam

Sandhyaa....????

Japam

Daanam

Moksha snaanam

Is this right?

2. Should we do one tarpanam or 2 tarpanams....?

Any कर्म ,  including सन्ध्यावन्दनम्, after मोक्षस्नानम् only .

There is a video from a Pundit on YouTube. According to him only One Tarpanam must be done on the Grahana day. Amavasya Tarpanam can be skipped and only the Grahana Tarpanam must be done after taking a bath when the Grahana has started.
