[Publication Announcement] A Mokṣopāya – Yogavāsiṣṭha – Laghuyogavāsiṣṭha Concordance

I have the pleasure of bringing the below publication announcement to your
notice:

The present concordance enables for the first time a direct synopsis of the
verse numbers of the *Mokṣopāya* edition with those of the *Yogavāsiṣṭha*
edition as well as with the abridged & truncated edition printed under the
title *Laghu-Yogavāsiṣṭha*.

Of particular importance is the possibility, for the first time, of
identifying the corresponding passages of the Kashmirian *Mokṣopāya* from
both the widely used and frequently cited pan-Indian *Yogavāsiṣṭha* vulgate
and the geographically rather southerly *Laghu-Yogavāsiṣṭha* – and, of
course, vice versa.

Anett Krause’s concordance of verse numbers allows quick access to the
wording, content, context, and intention of the respective passages in all
three printed versions. From now on, everyone can easily develop their own
informed opinion on these points as well as on the question of origin and
interdependencies.

Although the last and thus third volume of the text edition of the
*Nirvāṇaprakaraṇa* of the *Mokṣopāya* (6.253-374 & *Khila*s) is still in
progress, its numbering has already been finalized, which made the
publication of the present concordance at this very time reasonable. The
final volume that will complete the *Mokṣopāya* edition is expected to be
published in 2023.
