Dear scholars,
      Namaste.

How do the different forms of braid (वेणी, धम्मिल्ल, कुन्तल, कवरी) differ from one another?

What is the meaning of वालाः?

      Ref: हलायुधकोश, सं॰ जयशंकर जोशी, श्लोक 2.1.530

      Regards

In Hindi बाल means hair, and this shows it came from वालः of Sanskrit.

 Namaste,
वालाः refers to hair or lock of hair.
The meanings are given in the dictionary part of this हलायुधकोश book with reference to verses.

Regards,
Vinutha Saligram.

Thank you sir for your reply.
That time I had not checked the meanings of individual words in the  हलायुधकोश itself.
