LOYOLA's Vs VINCENT's

This match was successfully held at the Loyola High School f'ball ground on Thur, 11th Dec 2025 morning.  The Vincentian Brass Band steered by Kevin Bhosle with Trevor Martin, Zachary Arouze . . . played the nation anthem and regaled the spectators throughout the match.  The Loyolites had their dhol-tashas, while many of the school students encouraged their teams with "horns"

Besides current students of both schools, a good number of ex-students attended too.  Many who couldn't personally attend, could view parts of the match through the live streaming, which unfortunately had many glitches.

Much thanks & gratitude is due to Loyola Principal - Fr.Nelton, who took the initiative with the support from Vincent's Principal - Fr.Titus and with the ELAN, to have revived the historic Fr.Riklin Challenge Cup, after 33 long years.

Both teams played well (of course, there's much scope for improvement), with Vincent's lifting the cup in a 2-1 victory over Loyola 😁.

Loyolite player Aaryavardhan Kakade was adjudged "Man of the Match" and was given the prize of a pair of (red) "Adidas Predator" football boots (sponsored by Vincentian & VOBA member Afaque Shaikh - class of 2003) !

VOBA EC member - Richard Fernandes, sponsored his Brandon Taekwondo Academy's 25 Kit Bags for the team players & coaches.

The thrill & excitement of this win was visible on one and all (Vincentians ☺️) at the venue. The team and their student supporters could be seen dancing & cheering at the venue & again when they returned back to school 😊.
