I am using bvhacker to prepare motion capture data for use in blender.

I am pretty much following these two instructions sheets (originally made for importing mocap data to SL:

http://www.bvhacker.com/tutorial_1.html

http://www.bvhacker.com/tutorial_2.html

Which explain how to use:

"attempt SL joint naming"

"attempt retarget to SL"

"put in T-Pose "

The method works OK, but ends up changing the arm rotations just enough that the arms and hads swing through the hips of the character after doing those above naming and retargeting commands.

Anyone familiar with those above commands for preparing mocap data for SL and know what to do about arms and hands moving through the hips of the characters after doing these steps?

Thanks,

Andrew

The whole trick of doing a retarget gets funky enough that you will
find errors and other small changes. Is there any way to get your
Mocap data in an SL compatible format to begin with?? (or are the
changes consistent enough to script fix them??)
