Hi all,

I'm working on the source code of BVHacker to migrate it from MFC to QT framework. I'll clone the repo and deploy the code as far as the current version pass some test.
For that purpose I'm wondering if anybody can help in testing. I can provide binaries built for MacOs and Ubuntu (I'll produce Windows executable later on).

Please let me know if interested.

Thanks,
Miguel Angel

Ok, then. I'll provide MacOS first. Just give me 2/3 days.

Hi Mario,

I got sick and I wasn't able to work on the project. I've made an attempt this morning to compile BVHacker for MacOS and while the app works fine on the machine I've compiled the project, when I try to run it on other Sierra machine an error occurs because of missing dependency.

I need to resolve this problem first. I'll come back as soon as the app is able to run on other Sierra machine.

Hi Mario,

I've built a version which works on Sierra (10.12.6). It opens and runs on a machine where QT Framework was not installed.

The app cannot be attached due to its size so I've uploaded it into google drive (LINK).

There are still many things to do (most of them are cometic). My intention is to publish a version which behaves the same as the last published so I'm mainly interested in functionality discrepancies. However, anything you can say can be very helpful.

Thanks for your support,

Miguel Angel

I see no mac executable files. I'm not so expert in the mac os world. I can only run and test executable files.

Hi Mario, Miguel,

I just wanted to say how stoked I am that you're porting bvhacker to QT :-)

When you're done, if you want me to post any links, host any files or credit you guys on the bvhacker website please let me know!

What happens when you double click on the downloaded file?

Oh, Thats great!
Are you able to load a bvh file and try to edit?
I suggest you to increase the screen resolution because on an 13" screen some ui elements are not arranged correctly.

In the mean time I'll try to produce Windows binary.

Thanks,
Miguel Angel

Hi Dave,

Thanks again!

The app opens on natively on Mac. Once the same happens on Windows and Ubuntu I'll fix some ui issues, clean the code and upload it to GitHub.
Of course It would be nice to have binaries linked from the official site.

I'll let you know.
