I can not install bvhacker_1.8. When trying to install the C++ that
comes with the bvhacker download, my windows7 informes me, that there
is a newer version of C++ already installed on my system.

So, the C++ within your download is outdated. Unfortunately, there is
no option to install bvhacker without having to install your old C++
version.

Is there a newer version of bvhacker or one that installs with newer C+
+ versions?

Thanks

Hi,

I've just updated the bvhacker download to include the latest vistula
studio runtime libraries.

It works fine on my machine, please let me know if you have any
problems.

Kind Regards,

I realize this is kind of old, but is there any way you could update the VS libraries again?
Thanks

I had the same problem today. I had to uninstall C++ library and then run Setup. Is there a way to avoid this?

Hi Zachery,

Sorry, but there's not - the last time I looked, the only way for me to create and ship an updated installer that included the latest VS Runtime libraries would have cost me $4000 for a license for the installer! It was about that time I abandoned developing for bvhacker.

Also, I'm working on High Fidelity pretty much full time now, so all other projects are shelved for the immediate future.

bvhacker is open source now though, so in theory, you *could* download from github and have a go yourself...
