Primary Skills 1. Good hands on experience on Red hat Linux enterpriseV5 System administration and trouble shooting. 2. NIS, NFS and SAMBA administration 3. Virtualisation - VMWARE ESX 4. Troubleshooting on issues belongs to virtual servers 5. RAID and LVM Management 6. VERITAS Volume Manager Administration. 7. RED HAT CLUSTER /VERITAS Cluster administration. 8. DNS server Administration 9. Apache Server Administration 10. Squid Proxy Server Administration 11. To carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management, Log file rotation. 12. Should provide Technical Solutions/Consultation as per requirement independently. 13. Experience in Capacity planning/Server Sizing. 14. Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security. Secondary Skills 1. Experience on Solaris 9 & 10 system administration, installation and configuration. 2. Solaris zones administration and trouble shooting. 3. Working knowledge on VERITAS volume manager and Solaris volume manager. 4. Experience in writing Shell or Perl script. 5. Experience in NIS/NFS, LDAP. 6. Experience on Jumpstart installation/Trouble shooting. 7. Strong concepts of networking like TCP / IP
