Y'all,
Seems to me that if for nothing else but fear of revocation of our hard-earned "trackie" title, there must be a tonne (metric, right?) of us heading out to this event.
I'll be bus-ridin' out to the ferry from Kitsilano and hoping to take advantage of that shuttle from the ferry to the 'drome that Emile is touting. Anyone want to sit together Forest-and-Jenny style and talk gear inches and tubies for a couple hours? Alternatively, if someone is planning a carpool, I'd happily contribute some gas moola and bubbly beverages in return for a spot in the vehicle. I'd only have one bike with its one set of wheels, one big-ass gear bag, and one excitable personality requiring accommodation.
Additionally, one is not unlikely to notice the inclusion of a team sprint on the
program. On that note, my current major limiter to participation in that event is the lack of retention of the remaining 66.6% of the team. Any two other sprint nerds interested in putting something together? I'm equal opportunity. Would probably be beneficial to get together in the coming week to practice a time or ten. The
scheduling of this practice will hopefully be facilitated by the status of the active 33.3% of the team as generally free of scheduling constraints (minus general husbandly duties).
Anything else need be done before go time, other than the excitable quivering that inevitably sets in the week before a big event?
